Krizta
Moon is a lunar sprite that emerges with Spirit & Sassafras!
Moon has been performing and recording throughout the Northeast
for the past 12 years. Her personality is charismatic and her jovial
energy has captivated audiences of all ages. Krizta's influences
spin through a prism spectrum of artists that makes it difficult
to nail her kite tails down. Some call it Folk, others call it
Familiar but she likes to refer to her music as a twilight sensory
spice collection. (As
she pulls vials from the cupboard, mixing and churning stars, saffron
and such) Krizta's primary instrument is Voice, which has been
described as sultry sweet with dreamy grit. Moon is a songwriter
accompanying herself on acoustic guitar. Her songs elicit mystical
warmth and devious charm.
In spring of 2004, Krizta was awarded
the Judges “Rising Star” award for the Connecticut
Talent America Competition where she performed an original composition
entitled “Venus
is out Tonight". In April of 2005 Krizta released her first full
length CD entitled “Scratches in Stone”. Krizta plays
acoustic guitar on the album and is backed by fellow writers Mark
Visconti & Andrew
Lynch. The first cut of the album “Dreamers & Warriors” was
written for film documentary Loop Dreams and directed by CT’s
own Harvey Hubble. This film has won 3 Emmy Awards. Dreamers & Warriors
has been getting continuous air play on independent radio stations
like WPKN 89.5 and WZBG 97.3. Currently, Krizta is working on her
second solo album set to be released in Spring 2006. She is a full
time musician teaching voice lessons privately and also doing professional
voice over work in advertising. This past summer she’s joined
forces with the “WHO WHO’s”, a harmonic female
folk band from New Haven CT that was formed in the early 90’s.
Krizta is stepping up to the mic as lead “WHO WHO” vocalist
in conjunction with her own solo career. Whether performing solo
or with the WHO WHO’s, Krizta has compiled her original compositions
and a sleek selection of vibrant cover tunes to spice up an entertaining
evening that appeals to a variety of audiences. |
